Why does Android POS need to connect to a printer
The functions of smart POS are determined according to the needs of customers. For some customers who need extra printers , they need to connect the smart POS to the printer itself. But why do we need an extra step to connect the printer,because the printer is an external module, you need to send instructions through a virtual interface to print.
How many ways of connecting the android POS printer?
There are generally three ways to use Android POS printers.
The first way is to connect POS printers through Bluetooth. Bluetooth establishes a serial port through a virtual USB interface, and APP sends printing instructions, triggering the printing function of the printer through the established serial port.
The second is through the wifi connection POS printer, wifi printer is based on local area network (LAN) through the same wifi identification transmission way of printing, can realize remote printing in a small scope, the printer main circuit embedded wireless chips, a wireless receiver and transmitter, can receive the router signal, can also launch signal which is available for other devices connected, then use software to trigger the print.
The third is wired connection POS printer, by the same SDK interface printing, the printing principle and bluetooth print is a bit different, is using the software in the machine, the software embedded in the each equipment unique SDK, print is triggered when the instructions within the software, printing the instruction carried the printout to unique SDK interface, realize the print module of the print.
