What is a fiscal devices?
The fiscal devices have 4 kinds of category:
1. Fiscal cash register for the single for small shops or personal service provider, like lawyer.
2. Fiscal printer that mainly used with PC POS s/w as in the supermarket.
3. Fiscal signature invoice that mainly be used in the company or corporation.
4. Sales Data Controller-SDC is a high end solution designed to keep record of Sales transactions and VAT and with the power of connectivity between Invoicing Systems and Tax Office Server using 3G/4G GSM and secure Private APN or over internet using IPsec/VPN.
What is a fiscal cash register?
It is a kind of fiscal devices that can record the daily transaction and operation of every retailer or service provider according to the technical specification of the local Tax Authority announced, the main purpose is to against with the Tax evasion in every country and help the government to collect the tax and realize the tax target of every financial year.
It composes of operator display, customer display, keyboard, printer mechanism, battery and an internal fiscal memory, plus the mechanical seal to guarantee the case only can be opened by the authorized service person.
What is a fiscal memory?
It is a kind of secure memory made by OTP memory or flash memory that can guarantee the tax data of each transaction or Z daily report cannot be deleted or changed after saving into it.
The fiscal cash register will not enter into use without writing the fiscal code and number into the fiscal memory and enter into fiscal mode. Any kind of disconnection of fiscal memory with mainboard will block the sales of the fiscal cash register.
So the tax officer just need to check the seal of the terminal then read the data in the fiscal memory once they come to the premise of the retailer or meet with the service provider.
Why Android based?
The old style fiscal cash register was made by a 32-bit MCU, though it can send the Z daily report to the TAX Authority server via GPRS module, but due to its serial port speed limitation, it could not send every transaction data to the server without influence the front end sales operation.
An Android based pos terminal, with its powerful CPU and multiple connectivity channel of Wifi/4G/3G/2G, it can perform very well as the online fiscal devices. It can manage to send every transaction data to the Tax Authority server without delay, and can keep the data in waiting list when there is connection problem. All these could be done in the backend, any front sales operation will not be delayed.
Still Fiscal Memory Module supported? Electronic Journal supported?
Yes, fis-NANO still support the fiscal memory module. As in some of the fiscal country there is still fiscal memory requirement in their technical specification.
Yes, fis-NANO support two kinds of electronic journal, one is by the ROM itself the other one is by the SD card.
